Traveling, reading, cooking, gardening, and antiquing were a few of her numerous hobbies. In Victoria Gardens, DeLand, Florida, where she lived, she participated in many activities such as culinary demonstrations, Museum of Arts and Sciences and gardening lectures, and volunteering in the library. Julie was particularly good at Trivia! And she never missed a concert or a theatrical performance! She was a generous and kind person, always supportive and willing to help out. Julie had a wonderful sense of humor with a quick wit and ready smile.
Julie is survivied by her sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth A. Mawhinney and Thomas C. Mawhinney of Michigan, and her very good long-time friend Carole Kurtz of DeLand, Florida.
