Clara Wiggins
Clara Wiggins, 90, passed away on December 1, 2017. Born in Kansas City, Missouri on August 4, 1927. She had a re- markably full life. Clara grew up in the Midwest on her pa- rent's farm who had immigra-
ted from Belgium. In her early years it was the hustle and bustle of her job at Kansas City Power and Light. Clara then met her future husband Donnie at a USO dance in Ft. Leaven- worth, KS. She became a wife, home-maker, mother and girl Friday. When the kids grew up she went back to work at the City of Gain- esville, FL then on to the Department of Transportation in DeLand, FL, then to Dayto- na Beach Community College and finally re- tiring from the Volusia County Schools. Her priority in life was her family and friends. She raised her children and built her career. In ad- dition, she traveled extensively, helped her husband build airplanes and at one point, lived on a sailboat with her husband and three of the children. Her laughter and spirit for life was infectious and was felt by all she came in contact with. She is already missed. She is survived by her children: William Wiggins, (Barbara), Georgia, Donna Fowler, (Doug), Florida, Richard Wiggins, (Angie), Florida, Barbara Jacob, (Paul), Florida, Dennis Wiggins, (Teresa), Florida, son-in-law, Tony Trujillo, Florida. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Trujillo, and one great grand- child. Eight Grand Children and Nine Great Grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 4, from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Lankford Funeral Home. Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 10:00AM at St. Peter Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Sea Pines Memorial Gardens in New Smyrna Beach, FL.
