Obituary of Allan Dane

Allan Joseph Dane, 62, passed away, peacefully in his sleep, on September 15, 2017. He was born in 1955, in Pottsville, PA. He and his family moved to DeLand, FL in 1961. Allan graduated from DeLand High School in 1974. As a young boy, Allan enjoyed being part of the Boy Scouts of America, during this time he earned the highest honor of Eagle Scout and God and Country, He continued his work for many years following.

Allan attended Lighthouse Church for 31 years. He became a leader in the Royal Rangers, a program where he mentored young boys with camping skills, survival skills, most importanty skills based on Biblical principles. He was also a member of F.C.F.

Allan worked for A.B.B in Lake Mary for 24 years and he loved his co-workers, and was known to be cracking jokes. Allan loved to have a good time. He was the King of Fun Facts and had a passion for old TV shows and movies. His favorite, was the Rifleman. Allan was a fun, loving, and compassionate individual, who would always offer a helping hand to those in need. We know he is with the Lord and Free of his earthly troubles. He will always hold a very special place in our hearts. Allan was a devoted husband, Uncle and Friend to many.

Allan is survived by his wife; Mary Dane, sister-in-law; Willa Lowe, two neices; Laura Lowe, Stacey Lowe, one great-niece; Lilly Anna Weisner, and Uncle; Herbert Becker, of Pennsylvania.


A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00PM, Thursday, September 21, 2017 at The Lighthouse Church in DeLand, FL. Casual Dress is requested.
