Obituary of Andrew Edward Polashock
Andrew E. Polashock, 75, passed on to walk with Jesus on December 2, 2020 in DeLand, Florida after his brief but courageous battle with lung cancer. His funeral services will be held at St. Ann’s church in DeBary, Florida.
Andrew was born on March 26, 1945 in Jersey City, New Jersey to Agnes Miller and Andrew Polashock, one of 9 children. He leaves behind those siblings: James Polashock, Joan Mamaril, Liz Noto, Paulette Kalich, his twin Agnes Prezioso, Jacqueline Garrander, John Polashock, and Francis Polashock.
Andrew proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in July 1966 with a National Defense Service Medal. He married his love, Bernadette A. Stevens Polashock, who predeceased him in March of 1998. He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Polashock and Kristina Streeter and favorite son-in-law, Jason Streeter as well as three beautiful “grampykids”, Gracie Bernadette, Chelsea Faith, and Neil Robert. Andrew also leaves behind many more loved family & friends.
While Andrew went on to work at Texaco, La Touraine Coffee Co., and multiple banks as a mortgage representative, what he ultimately loved was family, nature and helping others. He especially loved working with the Catholic church. He was a God-fearing man that met his significant other, Vicki Kizma, through his works and meetings with a local church.
Family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his name to his favorite charity, St. Jude’s Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
