Obituary of Evelyn McHale
Evelyn (Henderson) McHale was born Feb 4, 1921 in Philadelphia. She was the daughter of Anna and Carl Henderson. After graduating from Rockledge High School, she worked as a secretary for several years before marrying Harvey Long. They had 2 children; Barbara Hill and Robert Long. In 1970 she remarried William McHale and became a mother to 5 step children. After spending many years in Syracuse, N.Y. working as a lab technician for General Electric they retired and moved to Ocala, FL. After William’s death, Evelyn moved to the assisted living. After 5 months she went on to the Health Care where she finished her last 4 years of life. She went to be with the Lord on Nov. 5, 2020 at 99 years of age.
She is survived by all 7 children, 11 grandkids and many great grandkids. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Deland. Her interests, especially when she was young was roller skating, dancing, singing, gardening and most of all gathering with family and friends.
No memorial service is planned at this time. Arrangements are made with Lankford Funeral Home of Deland, and burial will be at the the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.

She was dearly loved and will be missed.
