Obituary of Marjorie N. Doyle

Marjorie "Margie" Doyle passed away peacefully surrounded by love from her family on September 10, 2020, at Halifax Hospice in Orange City, FL.  She was born on April 22, 1941 in Chicago, IL, to Harold and Nettie Nagel.  She married the love of her life, Jerry, on July 28, 1962 and they were married for 57 wonderful years.  Throughout their marriage, they traveled a lot in their motorhome across the country, looking for casinos and good fishing spots, along with visiting historical places. They took great joy in the later years traveling with their grandchildren.  Margie was a very selfless and loving person and would do anything for anyone, especially her grandchildren.

Margie and her husband, Jerry, owned and operated Jerry's Body Shop in DeLand for nearly 50 years.  They worked together all of those 50 years, starting the business in Pompano Beach, FL before moving to DeLand in 1973. She was known as "Mrs. Boss", but her employees were always like family to her.   They both retired in December of 2017.

Besides working at their business, Margie raised their two children and later was very involved with raising their grandchildren, making sure not to miss any of their baseball and softball games, recitals and competitions.    She will be extremely missed by her family as she was the "Rock" of the family.

She is predeceased by her husband, Jerry Doyle; father, Harold Nagel; mother, Nettie Nagel; 5 sisters, Georgette Nagel, Violet Carol, Arlene Miner, Annette Hunter, Barbara Moon; and brother, Harold Nagel, Jr.

Margie is survived by her daughter, Debi (Frank) Dunn of DeLand; son, Tom (Juanita) Doyle of Maine; 2 granddaughters, Stephanie Negrete of DeLand and Kyndall (John) Underhill of DeLeon Springs; one grandson, Kori Doyle of Maine; 2 great granddaughters, Hazel and Hannah; and sister, Evelyn Scott as well as many other nieces and nephews and other family and friends that will miss her dearly.

Celebration of life for Margie and Jerry (who passed away in April 2020)  will be held at a later date.
