Obituary of Sylvia Ann Schneberger
Sylvia Ann Biddle Schneberger Jan 12, 1936 Knoxville TN died peacefully in her sleep on Saturday May 30, 2020 at age 84 of Breast Cancer.
The Biddle family adopted her when she was very little and shared their love with her and gave her a great life. She loved drama, clubs, dancing, and was known in the area as a singer. She came in second to Dottie West in 1951 in a singing competition. Later she sang for Tex Beneke when he was bandleader for Glenn Miller Band. She was voted Most Talented Girl in her senior yearbook at McMinnville Central High School 1954. She was attending University of Tennessee before entering the Air Force. She was stationed at Scott Air Force Base, IL. Even though she saw no combat, she did skydive in basic training and she skydived again when she was 67 years old. Sylvia had a beautiful spirit that transferred into her hundreds of beautiful paintings that we all treasure.
She is proceded by her husband Norman, who she met in the Air Force. Survived by children Mark (Melodie), David (Tara), Peggy (Scott), 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and other family and dear friends.
Viewing is Monday June 8, 2020 at 11:30am at Lankford Funeral Home, DeLand FL. Funeral Service and The Military Honor Guard Ceremony at 1pm at DeLand Memorial Gardens, DeLand FL at the Mausoleum.
