Maxine May Bisson Fick, 90, of Deland, went to be with her Heavenly Father on December 28, 2019. Maxine was born on June 3, 1929 in Rogers City, Michigan to Anna (nee Lalonde) and Wilfred Bisson. She was the youngest of 8 siblings. On June 7, 1947, Maxine married John R. Fick, together they had 6 children, Charles (Kathy) Fick of Howell MI, Dennis Fick of New Baltimore MI, Colleen Kincaid of Deland FL, Sandra (Thomas) Guenot of Lake Helen FL, John (Kathy) Fick Jr. of North Ft. Myers, and Steven (Ann) Fick of Deland and they raised their niece, Laurie. She had 22 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Maxine and John raised their family in Mt. Clemens, Michigan until 1975 when the family moved to Deltona, Florida. She went by many names: Maxine, Mack, Mackie, Grandma, and Gigi, and all who knew her felt her love. She led a good life, was kind, and generous. She will be remembered for making the best pork roast, and her love of pasta and sweets. She was a champion worrier, and committed to praying the rosary for hours each day but her favorite thing to do was hold her many grand-children. She was a voracious reader, loved a tidy home. There was nothing she loved more than her family. Maxine is now resting with those she has loved and lost including: her husband (John), her daughter (Laurie), parents (Anna and Wilfred), and siblings (Joseph Hector, Arthur, Beatrice, Clarence, Lawrence, Melvin and Betty).
