FAY LOUISE DEMAREST REIM
January 6, 1935 – September 21, 2019
Family and friends will gather at 11:00am, Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Community Christian Assembly Church, 235 W. Washington Avenue, Pierson, Florida to remember with great fondness the life, faith, and generous spirit of Fay Louise Demarest Reim who slipped the surly bonds of earth to touch the Face of God on September 21, 2019 and now glories in the infinite renewing power of the Light of our Savior.
Born January 6, 1935 in Jefferson, New York Fay Louise Demarest Reim predeceased by her husband and high school sweetheart of 58 years together, Edwin Carlisle Reim and Fay’s parents Albert and Thelma Tabor Demarest, brother Robert Demarest and Sister In Law Freda. Fay has three daughters, Kathy Reim Crosby her husband Shane , Lori Reim Iler her husband Earl, Jr. and Robin Friend her husband John Jr., grandchildren Michael Crosby wife Brandi, Nicole and Chad Crosby, Evan and Liara Iler, and Allison and Lexi Friend, and great-grandchildren Dylan, Chase, Chloe, Caleb and Asher Crosby.
Fay attended Jefferson High School in Jefferson, New York and then moved to New York City where she attended Barbizon School in New York City, New York. In 1953 Fay sang lead soprano in Puccini’s Madame Butterfly at Carnegie Hall New York, New York. After marrying Eddie they moved from Jefferson, New York to Perth Amboy, New Jersey before moving to DeLand, Florida.
Fay and Eddie owned The Town House Apartments, a two story 10 unit building in Orange City, Florida and she also continued her love of singing working as a Musical Therapist for Daytona State College singing at numerous Nursing Homes throughout Volusia County, Florida.
Fay will be remembered for her devout Faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, being a true Prayer Warrior for the many home Prayer Meetings she held, singing her high soprano in Church Choirs, and her abiding integrity which can be attributed to her faith in her Heavenly Father, and manifest itself in her devotion to both family and friends.
