Obituary of Vasyl Levchenko
Vasyl Levchenko, 63, died August 18th, 2019 at Halifax Hospice in Orange City, Florida after a 2-year battled with cancer. His Funeral will be held this Saturday; August 24th, 10 AM, at Lankford Funeral Home in Deland, Florida.
Vasyl was born on September 10, 1955 in Luborin, Ukraine. He was always interested in flying and enrolled in a military pilot academy; after he graduated from school. However, he dropped out after 2 weeks because he couldn’t stand the neck of the uniform being too tight. He went on to gain a Master’s in Engineering focusing on aircraft turbines, no uniform required. It was during this career as an Aerospace Engineer that he met the love of his life, Tetyana. He married Tetyana on August 12, 1978 and has 2 children Aleksandr and Natalya. Throughout his life, he has an opportunity to travel and see the world, some of unique places include the following: Siberia, Burundi, Comoro Islands, South Africa, Panama, Mexico, and many others. His hobbies included flying, fishing, and working on his house. After immigrating to America, he was able to start his own company, Air Lion Inc. - it was his pride and joy.
He was a funny, smart, and generous man. He would give the shirt off his back, if you asked him. He is loved will be sorely missed.
