Obituary of Renee Annette Vallone
Renee Annette Palermo Vallone, 70, of DeLand, Florida passed away peacefully with her family by her side on April 25th, 2019 after a long illness.
She was born in Buffalo, New York to the late Joseph and Shirley (Granata)Palermo. Renee was a graduate of Kensington High School, class of 1967, and later received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Renee moved to Huntsville, Alabama and later relocated to DeLand, Florida. She is survived by her step-mother Claire Palermo; brother Jody; children Vincent (Kelly) Vallone, Andrea Smith, Jenna (Mark) Wasden; and her only grandchild, Noelle Smith. She was deeply loved by her brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.
Renee was a devoted wife, mother, and nurse who, despite losing her mother at a very early age and suffering many hardships, never lost the capacity to show unconditional love and loyalty to those around her. Especially those she cared for throughout her 30-year nursing career. She will always be known for her amazing sense of humor and beautiful smile.
A memorial celebrating Renee's life will be held on Tuesday, April 30th, 2019 between 3pm and 5pm at Lankford Funeral Home and Crematory located at 220 E New York Avenue, DeLand, Florida 32724. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations to be made on her behalf to The Scleroderma Foundation or The March of Dimes.
