Obituary of Juliana Baumgartner
Juliana J. Baumgartner, 75, of Deland FL passed away on Oct 10, 2018. She was born in Chicago, Illinois to Jerry and Dorothy Fuller.
Julie is survived by her loving husband Roger Baumgartner of 54 years. Also surviving is her daughter Tracey Baumgartner, grandchildren Brittany Baumgartner and Blake Wilbert (Leland), and son Troy Baumgartner (Angela), and grandchildren Marlee Tucker (Chris), and Logan Baumgartner. Sister Pat Thorton (Chris) Jacksonville, Nephew Dr. Tyler Thorton, Massachusetts and brother in law Jim Baumgartner. Julie attended Florida State University where she met Roger and they began their life together. Julie was very active in the community; volunteering as a Pink Lady at the Deland Hospital, President of the Jr. Service League, Garden Circle, and two bridge groups for many years. She was a member of a Women’s Bible Study Fellowship for over 18 years and was a discussion leader for most of those years. Julie helped with music makers at Trinity United Methodist Church for 20 years.
Julie loved to travel and always had a smile that was infectious. She was an inspiration to all who know her as she never gave up, or let her battle with Multiple Sclerosis stop her from being outgoing and always having a positive attitude. She will truly be missed by her family and many friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 15th at Trinity United Methodist Church of Deland, 306 N. Wisconsin Ave at 4pm, with Rev. Dale Golden officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church Building fund in her memory, or Multiple Sclerosis National fund. Please visit
