Lilly Bodeep Stover, 93, went to be with the Lord on January 6, surrounded by her loving family in her longtime family home in Deland. Lilly was born in Asbury Park, New Jersey on March 8, 1925. She graduated Asbury Park High School in 1942, and then went to work for the US Signal Core at Camp Evans as a stenographer.
She later graduated from University of Florida School of Pharmacy in 1950, one of the first women to graduate from Pharmacy School. She met the love of her life, Cecil Stover and they were married and had 5 children. She loved being a wife and mother. In her free time she enjoyed baking, sewing, knitting, and quilting. Additionally, she worked at several pharmacies in the Deland and Daytona Beach area. She was a faithful member of First Assembly of Deland.
Lilly was preceded in death by her father, Michael Bodeep, her mother Elizabeth Bodeep, her husband, Cecil G. Stover, her sister Victoria Bayrooty (Joseph), her brother Joseph Bodeep (Ginny), her brother Thomas Bodeep (Marilyn), and her daughter Elizabeth A. Stover. She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Victoria L Stover, her son Michael G. Stover (Cathy), her son Thomas J Stover, and her daughter, Lisa J Bennett (Kenneth), her nephews, James Bayrooty (Joyce) and Kenneth Bodeep, Her nieces, Marie Bayrooty, Karen Bodeep, and Suzanne Bodeep Rauso, and Thomas Bodeep Jr., her grandchildren, Shonda Riley, Rebekah Lenahan, Melissa Lenahan, Jonathan Stover, Michael Stover Jr., Jamie Roberson, Kaley Stokes, Daniel Bennett, Tonya Bennett, and several great grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be on January 10, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at First Assembly Deland 551 S Kepler Rd. Graveside service will follow at 2:00 P.M. at Deland Memorial Gardens 600 E Beresford Avenue Deland Refreshments will follow at First Assembly. Funeral services will be provided by Lankford Funeral Home in Deland, Florida.
