Floy Jean Pflough Hale

Floy Jean Pflough Hale, 91, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018, in Melbourne.
Floy Jean was born in Orlando, to the late Floyd F. Pflough and Blanche Johns Pflough. She grew up and spent 85 years in her beloved hometown, DeLand. She graduated from DeLand H.S. and attended Florida State University and Eastman School of Dental Hygiene in Rochester, NY. She worked as a dental hygienist for Dr. John Smith for 26 years.
Floy Jean was a member of the First Presbyterian Church; DeLand Garden Club-Pansy Circle; Pi Beta Phi Sorority-Alumna Chapter Stetson University; West Volusia Historical Society; DeLand Woman’s Club-Sustainer. In 2011 her proudest was being named an honorary Stetson University Alumna.
She was predeceased by her parents and husband of 58 years, Gregory Burleigh Hale.
Survivors include: daughters, Marie Hale Hallman (Ken) of Marietta, GA; Beverly Hale Sanders (Mark) of Melbourne, FL; grandchildren, Ashley Hallman (John Hannegan); Brad Hallman (Jenci) and Haley Sanders; great grandchildren, Will Hallman and Johanna Hannegan.
