Virginia Ann Thomas Stevenson, 87, of Port Orange and Orange City Florida, passed away April 4th. She was fortunate to have her loving children by her side at the time of her passing.

Virginia was born on January 8th, 1935, in Cleveland Ohio, to Melvin David Thomas and Marjorie Elaine Hussong Thomas. She was the youngest of two children.

She married her middle school sweetheart, Barr Stewart Stevenson in 1956 and together they raised three children: Douglas Thomas Stevenson, Kimberley Ann Oliver and Cathie Lee Adamek.

Virginia spent 25 years as the quintessential Navy wife and mother, moving across country numerous times, setting up households, participating in Officer wives club bake sales and volunteering regularly. She had a passion and talent for cooking and shared her edible creations with family and friends.

She is survived by her three beloved children, seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and her puppy Bella.

A service will be held at Lankford Funeral Home Deland on Saturday April 9 at 2pm. The family will host a small gathering immediately after, details will be provided at the service.
