Our beloved Timothy Erin McGuire, 62, of Daytona Beach, passed away and walked into the arms of Jesus on August 23, 2024 in his home with family by his side.

Tim was survived by his wife Carla McGuire, daughters and son Brittany (Tim) Lamb, Katelin Anderson, Misti Burnham and Kyle Burnham, his grandchildren Hunter, Blakely, Sawyer, Brooks, Hayden, Aubree, Jace, Sadie, Westin, Mason, Mindi, his mother Nancy McGuire and his siblings Patty, Shon, and Robin.

Tim dedicated his life to law enforcement working for Tomoka Correctional Institute for 25 years as a K-9 Sgt. Following his retirement with TCI Tim continued his K-9 career with Volusia county sheriffs office, Daytona Beach police department and ended his career as an armed guardian at McInnis Elementary school.

When Tim was not working you could find him in the woods doing his second passion, hunting. Tim’s happy place was dog hunting or sitting in a tree stand. When Tim wasn’t in the woods he was at a baseball field watching his grandsons play. He was the proudest Papa in the bleachers.

The funeral services for Tim will be August 26, 2024 at Lankford funeral home 220 E New York Ave, Deland FL 2-3pm for visitation and 3-4pm for the service. The grave site service will follow immediately at Oak dale cemetery.

The family will hold a celebration of life for Tim at a later date and details will be given when available.
