It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, and friend, Terance Pope Jr., on December 17, 2024, at the age of 21.
Born on January 22, 2003, in Landstuhl Germany, Terance brought light and love to everyone who knew him. He was the beloved son of Zabrina Santiago and Terance Pope Sr., and the cherished stepson of Nicholas Santiago. Terance was a devoted big brother to his sisters, Olivia Santiago and Mariah Pope, and his brothers Ethan Pope, Trystan Pope, and Jayden Hines, all of whom loved him deeply.
Terance was a young man of remarkable character- respected and admired by all. He was honest, kindhearted, and generous, always putting others before himself, especially his family. He had an unbreakable connection with his siblings, particularly Olivia, whom he always protected and cherished.
A gifted athlete, Terance pursued his passion for football in college, where he not only excelled on the field but also earned the love and respect of his teammates and coaches. His dedication, both as an athlete and as a person, inspired everyone around him.
Beyond football, Terance’s heart was his defining trait. He had a smile that could brighten the darkest days and a willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need. He was the kind of person who made everyone feel seen, heard, and valued- a true friend in every sense of the word.
Terance’s large family was the cornerstone of his life, and he leaves behind countless loved ones who will carry his memory in their hearts forever. Though his time with us was far too short, the impact he made is immeasurable.
As we say goodbye to Terance, we ask that you join us in celebrating the life of a young man who gave so much of himself to the world. May his legacy of kindness, love, and selflessness inspire us all to be better and love harder.
A celebration of Terance’s life will be held at Lankford Funeral Home, 220 East New York Avenue, Deland, FL 32724 on Sunday, December 29th, 2024. Public visitation will be at 12pm with service to follow at 1pm.
Forever in our Hearts,
Zabrina Santiago, Terance Pope Sr., Nicholas Santiago, Tara-Anne Pope, his brothers and sisters, beloved grandparents and all his extended family and friends.
