Steven Lee Swallows drove off into the sunset May 13. He was born July 16, 1947 in Eau Gallie, Florida Levi Sanders Swallows and Barbara Woodward Swallows.He spent the majority of his life in Deland. He attended Wisconsin Avenue Elementary, Deland Junior High, Deland High, class of '65, and Daytona Beach Junior College. He proudly served in the US Navy.

In 1975 he married Lynn Wilhelm and opened A1 Electric Motor Shop which he operated for 44 years until his health forced him to close. He loved being able to help his customers trying to always give them more than they expected.

Steve was a member of the Deland Sunrise Kiwanis, the Goldwing and Retreads motorcycle groups. He had many interests from working on and racing vehicles, to woodworking, model trains, stained glass, guns, and imparting his knowledge (wanted or not).

He valued all his friendships, but his greatest love was for his family.

He is survived by: wife, Lynn, dog Leo, father, Levi, brother, Jim (Beth) sister-in­law, Marjie Maranto (Charlie), aunt Alma Drummond, 5 nieces, 4 nephews, 1· great niece, 1 great nephew, and many cousins.

A celebration of life will be held in the near future.
