Stanley R. Gelman, M.D., “Stan,” age 83 of DeLand, FL, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Stan was born August 12, 1941, to Joe and Jean Gelman in Harrisburg, PA.  He graduated from the University of Florida Medical School, completed his residency at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial, proudly served in the U.S. Army, and went on to serve central Florida families as an OBGYN for more than 40 years.

Survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Susan; their children, Laurie Gelman (Brodie Marrow) and Joe Gelman; grandchildren, Ava and Liam Marrow; brother, Michael Gelman; and many nieces and nephews.

Stan will be remembered for his devotion to and pride in his children and grandchildren, his commitment to women’s healthcare, and the joy he found in welcoming new babies to the world.

A private memorial service will be held.
