Sandria “Sandy” Barbara Uccello, (73), passed from this life on April 5, 2022. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her knew what a special person she was. A treasure to not only her family, but to her customers and the countless number of people who called her friend. Sandy was born and raised in Deland, Florida, where she found her forever love Robert “Bobby” Uccello and they soon married forming a family of five with Sandy’s two daughters and Bobby‘s son. The family remained in Deland and together, Sandy and Bobby started their own well drilling business. Sandy and Bobby also owned and managed J&J’s Package and Lounge in which she stepped into the shoes of her father after he departed. She proudly carried on the family torch as a business owner for many years later. Through her years of loyal service, she met so many people whom she loved and in turn loved her, her smile, and her presence. Sandy enjoyed the fun side of life from listening to live bands on the weekends to celebrating annual events such as Bike Week. She was known to barbeque for many hours with her husband to feed her customers. In her quiet time, Sandy enjoyed her hands in the dirt and had an amazing green thumb which reflected in her yard full of flowers and plants, but nothing pleased her more than to be on their house boat floating down the river spending the weekend with her family. Sandy was predeceased by her parents William “Jake” and Lucille Rainey and her siblings, Lucky Rainey, Jenie Rainey, and Coy Rainey. Sandy known as “Nanny” to her close family was survived by her devoted loving husband of 44 years, Bobby Uccello; her two daughters, Michelle Pursley and Rhonda Pursley; her son, Phillip Uccello (Tarra Uccello); her sister, Sherran Miles; her grandchildren, Blayke Pursley, Blayne Pursley, Courtney Robinson, Gage Uccello, Gatlin Uccello, and Gavin Uccello; her great-grandchildren, Kyla Jade, Mariah Linna, Lilly Rose, Jackson Lee and Brayden; and many nieces and nephews. The family will hold a funeral service on April 23, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Lankford Funeral Home. Sandy’s celebration of life will follow the service at J&J Lounge and Package.
