Ruth Geneva Fitzpatrick Prince

Ruth Geneva Fitzpatrick Prince, 77, of Orange City, Florida, passed away on December 4, 2024, at the Halifax Hospice Center. Born on June 16, 1947, in Jacksonville, Alabama, Ruth lived a life full of love, service, and devotion.

A longtime member of her local church, Ruth was deeply involved in the community and had the honor of leading the women’s ministry over the years. Her faith was a guiding force in her life, and she was known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication to others. Ruth had a special way of expressing her love through small gifts and thoughtful recognition, always making those around her feel cherished and appreciated.

A diehard Auburn fan, Ruth carried her passion for her team with pride, often sharing her enthusiasm with those close to her. Her love for life, family, and her church was evident in every aspect of her journey.

Ruth is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Garry Prince Sr. She is survived by her loving children, Melanie Bearden (Donnie Bearden), Garry Prince Jr. (Genie Prince), and Greg Prince (Monica Prince). She was a proud grandmother to Nicholas Ellis, McKenzie Dellacasa, Austin Prince, Morgan Prince, Grace Prince, and Garrett Prince, and great-grandmother to Lilly Ellis, Waylon Ellis, Ethan Dellacasa, Reece Dellacasa, Tobias Prince, Emery Dellacasa, Magnolia Ellis, Harper Prince, Briggs Mann, and Gideon Prince.

Ruth’s favorite verse, Philippians 4:13, was a reflection of her strength and spirit: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Her faith, her love, and her vibrant spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
