Rose Mary Cross Thompson passed away peacefully in her sleep after a long illness, at the age of 70, at the Halifax Health Hospice Care Center in Orange City, Florida. She leaves behind two daughters, Rosa Thompson and Robin Thompson, a daughter-in-law, Robin Koman, a sister, Lillian “Ette” Broomfield, a sister-in-law, Kitty Cross, and brother-in-law, Robert “Jimmy” Broomfield, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Rose Mary worked as a nurse for over 35 years and was known as an absolute angel in the service of others. She was also well known in her church and community for her crocheted blankets and angels, which she gave out of the goodness of her heart.

Rose Mary is and has been loved very much. She will be missed greatly. She has now gone to join her husband, Raymond, her parents, Lillian and George, and three brothers, George “Skipper”, Edgar, and Alpha.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers and in keeping with her generous spirit, a donation be made to a charity of your choice in her name.
