Richard “Dick” Farrell, aged 85, of DeLand, passed away on August 13, 2022, after a short illness. He was born in Philadelphia PA to the late Anna (Matas) Farrell and John J. Farrell on May 15, 1937. Richard attended Philadelphia schools and earned his apprenticeship for tool & die making, a craft that he excelled in throughout his career. Richard was an avid fisherman and golfer, and a prolific reader. He proudly served in the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his children Richard Farrell, Mary (Rick) Crosslin, Carolyn (Michael) Carrington, Lauren Houle (Chris Rush), and Suzanne Houle, his grandchildren Ian Carrington, Richard Farrell III (Trey), Kristen Houle (Anthony) Eagen, Ryan Houle, and Robert Joseph (RJ) Houle, Jessica Farrell, Jeremy Michael, Great grandchild Liam Eagen several nieces, nephews and cousins, and the Maneaters.

Richard was predeceased by his beloved wife of 25 years, Mary Houle Farrell. He was employed by Sherwood Medical in Deland Fl for more than 25 years before retiring in 1997.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 7, 2022 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at the Lankford Funeral Home, 220 E. New York Ave, Deland FL 32724. Please honor his love of life by wearing golf or fishing attire or the Maneaters uniform.
