Patricia Lorraine Petroff (née Armstrong) passed away July 20, 2021.

Patricia was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania April 15, 1951, growing up outside the city in suburban New Jersey. She moved to DeLand, Florida, shortly after the birth of her two children, as did her parents, sister, older brother & grandmother.

Patricia worked as a Volusia County correctional officer. She enjoyed the beach, motorcycle riding, reading, and binging TV shows. Her greatest passion was her love of animals and the many pets she kept over the years.

Patricia is survived by her son, Bryan Petroff; daughter, Rachel Hickman; brother, Stuart Armstrong; grandchildren Madison, Lincoln and Mason; good friend Robert Gregg; and her sweet Boston terrier, Midgie.

In lieu of flowers, and in honor of her love of animals, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her name to the Morris Animal Refuge—the country’s oldest animal shelter—located in her hometown of Philadelphia. Visit www.MorrisAnimalRefuge.org .
