Nancy L. Hitchcock Hardin, a beloved wife, and a cherished mother, peacefully passed away on August 16, 2023, at the age of 84. Her life was a testament to faith, family, and love, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be remembered.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, William M. Hardin, their love was an inspiration to the entire Hardin family.
Nancy was a devoted mother to her two sons, and her nurturing spirit extended to her four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, who held a special place in her heart. Her love and dedication to her family were evident in every aspect of her life, as she showered them with unwavering support, warmth, and kindness.
Nancy's connection to her Christian faith was a cornerstone of her life. As an active member of Stetson Baptist Church, she found solace, community and purpose. Her unwavering faith and commitment to her Christian beliefs provided her with strength and a deep sense of fulfillment that was a great example to her family.
A true nature enthusiast, Nancy had a special affection for butterflies. This love inspired her family to create a beautiful butterfly garden in her honor, a vibrant haven that will continue to thrive and bring joy to others for generations to come.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 21, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lankford Funeral Home, DeLand, FL.
In the embrace of her family and friends, Nancy will be remembered not only for the love she shared but also for the profound impact she had on those fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will forever remain an inspiration, a reminder of a Christian life well-lived, and a legacy of love that will continue to flourish.
