Nancy Jane McCall Siler was born on March 20, 1936, in Clifton, Tennessee. Daughter of the late Edgar Floyd McCall and the late Mary White McCall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Raymond Franklin McCall, Alvin Dirl McCall, Thomas Earl McCall, Edgar Floyd McCall, Jr., James Billy McCall, Charles Louis McCall: three sisters, baby girl McCall, Virginia Lucille Barber and Martha Francis Stewart and her beloved son Jon Mark Siler and Grandson Dalton Adam Braddock.


Nancy leaves behind 2 daughters Lori Siler Braddock (Adam) and Mary Jane Siler Braddock (Eddie), 5 Grandchildren Laykin Braddock and Marcey Braddock Kramer(Lawton), Hunter Braddock, Chase Siler(Stephanie), and Samantha Siler, 3 Great Grandchildren Hazel and Olivia Kramer and Phoenix Siler, and Brother Bobby Jack McCall (Joyce) of Columbia, Tennessee.


Nancy moved to Florida in 1960 and immediately became a member of Stetson Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School for years and was an active church member until 2016 at which time she had a stroke. Nancy was a faithful Sunday School member.


Nancy was a homemaker while her children were young but went to work for Optometrists Dr. Amos and Thomas Barnard of Deland later, she would retire from the Florida Department of Corrections in Daytona Beach at the age of 65.


Things that Nancy loved were sewing making her children’s clothes and sewing for others. She had a Green Thumb and loved gardening or as the girl’s call it playing in the dirt. Nancy was always potting plants, loved yard work and was very proud of her yard.


The most important part of Nancy’s life was being a Christian woman and relied on her faith daily. She taught her children to Believe in God and rely on their own faith. One of her favorite Bible verses that was highlighted in her Bible is Philippians 4:13

I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me.


Visitation for Nancy will be Monday, October 17, 2022, at Lankford Funeral Home.

The family will receive guests from 3 pm – 4 pm with a service to follow.


In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to Kindred at Home Hospice of Daytona Beach, FL.
