Born December 1, 1941 in Leesville, LA, raised in Simpson, LA until the age of 11.
He has resided in the Volusia County Area ever since, mainly Orange City, DeLand and Lake Ashby. He advanced to his much-deserved heavenly reward on September 1, 2021. He attended DeLand Jr. High & DeLand Sr. High until 1959. Along with his father, Asa A. McMillon they opened up M & K Used Auto Parts Inc. in Orange City Florida. He retired at M & K in the early 2000’s. He was a Director and later Chairman of the Board at First Community Bank of Orange City. He also purchased Greg’s Feed & Farm Supply quite a few years ago. He was a Past Exalted Ruler of the DeLand Elks Lodge 1463. He and his wife started a ranch on Lake Ashby in the early 80’s raising registered Beefmaster Cattle and deer. He was always involved in FFA, where he got his start with cattle in the 1950’s. He helped support many children over the State of Florida in FFA and showing their cattle at the local Fairs. He did a lot of his own Vet work on his cattle. He was a member of the Cattleman’s Assoc. and he was a Baptist who read his devotional every day.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Jo McMillon, 3 sons, Mike McMillon, Tim McMillon and Greg Molinari, 4 grandchildren, Samantha Mac Keprang, Amber Guse, Jordan McMillon, and MacKenzie Molinari, and 6 great grandchildren.
Also, his beloved Australian Shepherd dog, “Caylee Marie” whom he adored. At his own request there will be no service. Lankford Funeral Home is handling his cremation and his remains will be given to his wife and their remains along with Caylee’s will be placed at their ranch when time comes.
