Michael John Booth was born December 18th, 1947 and died April 6, 2025. He was 77 yrs old when he passed in DeLand, Florida on April 6th after a long illness.

He was born in Coral Gables, Florida, to Father John Parkhurst Booth and Mother Mary Elizabeth “Betsy” Ross Booth.

He is survived by brothers Bill (Terri), Bob (Judi) Booth, and sister Susan Booth Brooks (Dr Jeff), all of DeLand. He also leaves behind his daughter Faith Rose Arison (JD), two granddaughters, Zoey and Mia, who live in Hendersonville, North Carolina, Justus Arison, 3 grandchildren - JJ, Ruby & Gracie, who live in Miami, nephews Quin Booth, Chris (Melanie), & Jeff (Mandy) Brooks, nieces Lisa Aharonovich, Jen Brooks, Katie Booth Wellington (Ed) and Julie Booth Stone (Adam), as well as many great nephews, and great nieces.

He is predeceased by nephew Parker Booth and brothers Donnie (Carol) Booth, John (Roma) Booth, Richard Booth, and sister Margo.

Mike graduated from Coral Gables High School and went on to Miami Dade Community College before enlisting in the Army where he received an honorable discharge. His lifelong passion and livelihood was in Organic Farming and Animal Husbandry. He was well known for his exceptional organic vegetables where many produce markets in South Dade sold them. Mike was a devoted Christian who had his bible with him everywhere he went. He experienced many legendary and daring adventures in his life while traveling the country from shore to shore and sailing the Caribbean Seas. Living in Pierson, Florida for the last 20 years, he continued his organic gardening and animal husbandry until he became ill. Mike spent his summers in Blue Mt. Lake, in the Adirondack Mountains, in upstate New York, captaining while giving historical boat tours at his brother Bob’s and nephew Quin’s Boat Livery. He was an avid outdoors man, truly one with nature. He loved fishing ,boating, sailing and hiking. Mike was a truly gifted storyteller, deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025 from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM at Lankford Funeral Home in DeLand, Florida. The funeral service will be on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Lankford Funeral Home with a burial to follow at Oakdale Cemetery in DeLand, Florida. After the burial, the family is hosting a reception with lunch at their home which is located at 2050 Hontoon Rd, Deland, FL 32720.
