Marylou Hurt, 88, passed away at Ridgecrest Nursing Facility on July 2, 2022, after many extended illnesses. Marylou was born in Columbus, Ohio .The daughter of Thomas Turner and Mildred Allen. Marylou was educated in Columbus, Ohio graduated from Columbus East High School. She married William D Hurt November 23, 1957. She worked in the Professional Field as a nurse for many years. Changed careers and went to work for the Columbus Board of Education As a Supervisor in the Transportation Dept. Retired from there in 1993 and moved to Florida. Marylou learned the truth about the true God Jehovah and dedicated her life and was baptized in 1964 a total of 58 years. She raised all five of her children to love and serve Jehovah. She love to preach and teach about Jehovah. She became a regular pioneer at the age of 75 and served until her illnesses stopped her. She loved being with her family. She enjoyed cooking and baking and was called the Pie lady. She loved gardening had a green thumb. She especially loved her collection of elephants.

She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas Turner and Mildred Allen, her husband William D Hurt, and her grandson William D Hurt II. She is survived by her daughters Deborah Jackson(Ron) of Palatka, FL, Cynthia Black of Palm Coast, FL, and Billie Barlow of Palatka, FL; Sons Clifford Hurt of Palatka, FL, Mark Hurt of Columbus, OH; Her Grandchildren Jonathan Hurt of Palatka, FL, Candace Jackson of Miami, FL, Jeannine Childress of Columbus, OH, Lydia Samboy of Columbus, OH, Brian Barker of Palatka, FL, Adam Barker of Columbus, OH, William Barlow of Palatka, FL, Darian Barlow of Palatka, FL, Cherelle Williams of Delaware, OH, Paige Hurt of Marysville, OH, Brook Hurt of NC, Robert Stevenson of Columbus, OH, and 6 Great Grands. Her first cousins Herbert Turner, Josie Bacote, Curtis E. Ransom, Harold Bishop Ransom Nedra Angel. A host of many many friends.
