Our Beloved Mary Plucinik Bell, 98, of Deland, FL., Passed peacefully on April 22nd, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be held at Lankford Funeral Homes, 220 E. New York Ave. Deland Fl. On May 3rd at 11 a.m., followed by a procession to burial at Oakdale Cemetery.
Mary Bell was born on August 21st,1922 in Auburn New York to Thaddeus and Ruth Plucinik. She was the firstborn of 6 six children. However, her journey began when she married Elwin Bell at the young age of 19. For her, this would be a love that lasted a lifetime. Their love continued to grow, as did their family, having 6 children total. If you were to ask someone to describe her in one word, it would be “LOVE."
Besides the love for her family, Mary always had a love for Jesus and helping others. She was more than a mother, she was a caretaker, a friend. She had many roles that she took on that proved just that. Almost a century of changes happened in her lifetime.
She lived through some of the toughest times in our history, however, those times didn’t change her. She continued to be the strength of her family. Always with a smile on her face, taking it upon herself to help anyone and everyone that was in need. She taught by example, with love and compassion and unwavering faith.
Mary’s life was filled with love for her family, her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She leaves behind her children James, David, Daniel, Marianne, Ronald, and Thad. Along with their spouses Joan, Alvera, and Kathy.
Combined she leaves behind over 80 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren.
But mostly, she leaves behind a piece of her faith in each and every one of us. “With God, All things are possible!” We will see each other again in heaven.
