On Wednesday, March 8 2023, Mary E. Martin a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away at the age of 90 at her home in Deland Florida.

Mary was born on January 20, 1933 in Putnam CT. Mary raised her 5 children in Coventry Connecticut with her husband Robert G. Martin. She worked in the Coventry school system at the Robertson grammar school as a teachers aid.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years of marriage Robert G. Martin and her son Mark R. Martin. She is survived by her daughter Karen, her sons Wayne, Lee and Jay. Also her 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and her sister, Loretta Mohoney, all of whom she adored and loved.

Mary was a wonderful mother. She had a very big heart, a great sense of humor and was just a great person to be with. Mary spent the last 28 years of her life in Deland Florida and was a Deacon at her local church. She loved the warm weather, arts and crafts and watching the GSN channel on cable TV. Mary would also love to take part in social activities at the Whisperwood community where she spent her last years. Mary will be missed dearly by all. A celebration of Mary's life will be held in the near future and will be posted.
