Mary Kathleen (McLaughlin) Ragusa, age 89, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2024, in Eustis, Florida, surrounded by her loving family.

Mary was born on August 10, 1934, in Brookline, Massachusetts, to parents Margaret Gillespie and Neil McLaughlin. She grew up in Brookline with her brothers Neil, John, and Jimmy, and her sisters, Marjorie and Ann.

Mary spent many years in Massachusetts, where she worked in banking and various other capacities throughout her career. In the mid-1980s, she relocated to Florida and became a long-time resident of Debary. There, she was an active member of Saint Ann’s Catholic community, serving as a Eucharistic minister and delivering communion to patients in local nursing homes and hospice houses. Mary also participated in several women’s groups at the church and was known for her strong faith.

Mary had a big heart and a deep love for animals. She regularly donated to charities that supported animals, children, and veterans.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene, and her son, David. She is survived by her daughter, Judy (Paul) her son, Frank (Jeanette). Mary is also survived by eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

A funeral service for Mary will be held on Monday, June 17, 2024, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, located at 26 Dogwood Trail, Debary, Florida. There will be a viewing at 10 a.m., followed by a mass at 11 a.m. A reception will follow in the church hall.

Mary will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
