Margaret H. "Peggy" Kazmierczak

Margaret H. Kazmierczak, “Peggy” peacefully passed away from this life on February 16, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born in DeLand, FL on March 22, 1927, and remained in DeLand her whole life.

She graduated from DeLand High School in 1945. In October of 2023, she was honored as the oldest living graduate during DHS Homecoming Week.

She started her career at Florida Power and Light, but soon transitioned to her true passion, becoming a mother and raising her three children. Later in life she worked as a secretary for St. Peter, St. Ann’s and Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Churches.

She was an amazing woman and wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She always had a kind word, a smile, a caring heart and a loving spirit.

Peggy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Chester Kazmierczak. She is survived by her children, Priscilla (Laren) Meyers, John (Vicki) Kazmierczak, Linda (Mack) Gray, Peggy (Bob) Fitzsimmons, 5 grandchildren; Brett (Storm), Kelly, Kyle (Maria), Bruce (Kara) and Cory (Shannon) and 8 great grandchildren.

The viewing will be on Sunday, February 23 from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Lankford Funeral Home of DeLand. Mass will be held on Monday, February 24 at 10:00 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.
