Kimberly (Kim) Gene Kinsley was born September 7, 1954 to H. Gene and Janis Kinsley in Canton, Ohio. He died on September 8, 2021 after a long illness.
Kim grew up in Ohio. He loved sports, playing on basketball and golf teams through his college career. He worked as a golf superintendent on several courses. Prior to his retirement, he was a teacher with the Volusia County Schools.
Kim was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of DeLand where he served as an Elder, Deacon and a member of the church choir. Kim loved music and took advantage of opportunities to join others in singing, such as Stetson’s Choral Union.
Both his parent predeceased him. He leaves behind his loving wife, Nancy, along with his two sisters, Kristy (Brian) Vossler and Lori (Peter) DeLone, plus many nieces and nephews.
Kim’s memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, October 9th at 2:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of DeLand.
