REMEMBERED ALWAYS
Judi Svendsen, 79, of DeLand, Florida passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at her son’s home in Jacksonville Beach, Florida with family at her side. She was born in Tacoma, Washington amongst some of the most beautiful landscape on earth. It was here where she met the love of her life Frank. They were married in Bonney Lake, Washington and with Frank an active member of the US Navy they began their life’s journey together. They made a home in Jacksonville Beach, Florida for 30 years before finding their way to Deland, Florida in 2000 and it is here that their journey would end. Her love for crafts as passed on from her mother, would have her become an avid ceramic, seamstress, knitter, needlepoint, quilter and any other type of fabric or thread craft that she found interesting. She would spend countless hours making keepsakes for everyone that she knew and even some for those that just needed something to make their lives better.
Survivors include her Son and his wife, Rob and Darlene Hidenrick of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, Daughter, Tina Issacs of Jacksonville, Florida, Granddaughter, Jessica Hidenrick of Jacksonville, Florida and Greatgrandchildren, Kaydence and Kayden Williams of Jacksonville, Florida.
She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
Memorial service will be Saturday, June 25, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Lankford Funeral Home, 220 E. New York Ave., DeLand. Lankford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
