Jeremiah Dempsey Jr. Deland Florida passed peacefully at home on August 14. Jeremiah is the loving son of the late Jeremiah Dempsey & Elizabeth Dempsey.

Jerry is survived and lived in Deland FL with husband & Life Partner, Robert Bilski. They will have celebrated 22 years of love for each other in December.

Jerry is also survived by 3 siblings, Peter J Dempsey, loving twin brother from Long Island NY, & 2 loving Sisters, Patricia O’Toole Deland Florida & Christine Hatch Deltona Florida. Sister-in-law Kathy Dempsey, Brothers-in-law Daniel O’Toole & Michael Hatch. With a special acknowledgment to Honorary Step-Brother Christopher Radkowski & wife Joanne. Jerry’s life has also been blessed with loving Nieces & Nephews & Great Nieces & Great Nephews. He was also blessed with friends that have been united as his extended family. His love for all his family & extended family will forever be cherished. Jerry, never grew tired of his life’s journey and has filled his life with so many achievements. One of the most rewarding, he has remained the proudest of, is his Naval enlistment.

SK1 Jeremiah Dempsey JR, USNR spent more than 20 years in the Naval Reserves & retired in November 2005 in a Ceremony held at the Naval Reserve Center in Amityville New York, where he was awarded several distinguished honors for his service to his country. Throughout his Naval career he served with esteemed honor, with Reserve service in locations as Guantanamo Bay Naval Base along with numerous other Naval duties and assignments. Jeremiah will be remembered with services Lankford Funeral Home 220 E New York Ave, DeLand, FL 32724 on Sunday, August 21st 4 – 6 PM and Monday August 22nd 10 AM with Christian Services at 11 AM.
