Glenn O'Grady

May 28, 1956 — September 9, 2024

Glenn Robert O'Grady, 68, of Deland, Florida, passed away on September 10, 2024. Born on May 28, 1956, in Glen Cove, Long Island, New York, Glenn grew up on the island and attended Syosset High School, where he graduated with the Class of 1974. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree from Saint Bonaventure University in Olean, NY, in 1978.

Glenn enjoyed a successful career with Bedrock Communications in New York City, where he retired as Associate Publisher. His career was marked by dedication, hard work, and a commitment to excellence.

Glenn was the beloved son of the late Robert O'Grady and Helen Rutkowski. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Linda Farrell O'Grady, and their son, Sean Robert O'Grady. He also leaves behind his brother Gary O'Grady and his wife Mary of Ronkonkoma, NY.

Those who knew Glenn will always remember his kindness, charming personality, and fun-loving demeanor. He had a natural ability to make lifelong friends, and he cherished the connections he made throughout his life.

In retirement, Glenn and Linda settled in St. Augustine and Deland, Florida, where they enjoyed spending time together exploring local beaches, attending community fairs, and listening to concerts. They frequently vacationed at Hutchinson Island and John's Pass on Florida's Gulf Coast, fulfilling their shared dream of a relaxing retirement by the water.

No remembrance of Glenn would be complete without mentioning his love for the New York Mets-a true fan through and through.

A funeral service will be held at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, with interment at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Cemetery in Greenport, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Anastasia Outreach Ministry at St. Anastasia Roman Catholic Church, 5205 A1A S, St. Augustine, FL 32080.

May Glenn's memory live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
