Gertrude Vindett Bludworth

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Gertrude "Trudy" Bludworth on December 18, 2024, in DeLand, Florida, at the age of 93. Born on June 30, 1931, in Brooklyn, New York, Trudy's life was a testament to love, laughter, and the strength of family.

Trudy was the beloved wife, devoted mother, and proud grandmother. She is survived by her husband Edward Bludworth, children Francine Hauptkorn (George), Robert Bongianni (Cindy), and Andrew Bongianni (Eileen), and granddaughter Kristina Bongianni. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, joy, and unwavering devotion, to a wide circle of family and friends.

Known for her vivacious personality, Trudy had a unique ability to light up any room she entered. Her animated spirit and infectious energy made her the heart and soul of every gathering. As the matriarch of a large and loving family, she was the cornerstone upon which countless memories were built, always surrounded by those who adored her.

Trudy’s zest for life and her passion for family were the guiding forces throughout her 93 years. She will be remembered for her strength, her laughter, and her boundless love.

A celebration of Trudy’s life will be held on January 10, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Lankford Funeral Home in DeLand, Florida.
