Elba Annoni Ramírez

January 10, 1932 — January 4, 2025

Orange City

Elba Annoni Ramírez was born on January 10, 1932, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Enrique Annoni and Manuela Rosado. She passed away peacefully on January 4, 2025, at Orange City Nursing and Rehab in Orange City, Florida, just days before her 93rd birthday.

Elba faced life’s challenges with grace and resilience. Her father passed away when she was only four years old, and she was lovingly raised by her paternal grandmother, Enriqueta Fernández. Summers spent with her mother in Isabela were among her happiest childhood memories.

During a visit to her uncles in Bayamón, Elba met Alcides Ramírez, who would become the love of her life. The couple married on May 16, 1953, and built a beautiful life together. They were blessed with two daughters, Sandra and Griselle. Shaped by her own experiences of growing up apart from her mother, Elba became a fiercely protective and loving mother who ensured her daughters always felt supported and cherished.

Elba graduated from Central High School in Santurce, where her intelligence, radiant smile, and joyful demeanor left a lasting impression. Despite having only completed a typing course, her exceptional skills, work ethic, and ability to handle any situation earned her the role of Executive Secretary at Industrias La Famosa in Puerto Rico. Her dedication and professionalism garnered admiration and respect from her employers and everyone who knew her.

Elba was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren—Javier, Jennifer, Eduardo, Sandra, Luisiro, and Lymarie—and the great-grandmother of 17 great-grandchildren, including Trinity, Kadence, Khyla, Marcus, Madelyn, Ayden, Maddox, Arkiel, Emily, Ayla, Caleb, Ezra, Alejandro, Kiara, Nathanael, Sebastian, and Leonardo.

Known for her extroverted and lively personality, Elba found joy in helping others, dancing, and cooking. Though she didn’t pursue hobbies, her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. She lived a life filled with gratitude and unwavering faith in God, continuing to express her thanks even in her final days.

Elba’s creativity and love for children were evident in the traditions she created, such as the playful “baptism” ceremonies for neighborhood children’s dolls, complete with her husband dressed as a priest and a celebratory gathering in the carport.

Her values, principles, and remarkable ability to navigate life’s challenges earned her the admiration of all who crossed her path. Elba’s legacy is one of love, joy, resilience, and steadfast faith.

She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace.
