Elaine J. March was born October 28, 1941, in Rochester, New York and passed away November 9, 2024 at Majestic Oaks Nursing Home in Orange City, Florida.
Born an only child to parents Joseph and Ann Matulis, Elaine grew into a creative and intelligent young woman. She achieved an associate’s degree and worked for Xerox in her younger years. She soon got married and had children, at which point she went to work for First Federal/HSBC bank. When Elaine retired, she left the big city of New York to follow her dreams of living in the sunshine state of Florida.
Elaine's creativity throughout her life led to her passionate work of making one-of-a-kind gifts for those she loved. She also enjoyed collecting precious gems and jewelry in her free time.
Elaine J. March is survived by her son, Bill March, daughter, Julie Ferrara, her two grandchildren, Peter Ferrera and Samantha Ferrera. In addition are her close cousins Barbara O'Neil and Michael Brown, as well as her dearest friend, Kenny.
Her loving children wanted to share this special quote: "Mothers hold their children's hands for a while, but their hearts forever." It is a testament to the light and love that Elaine was and remains to be.
Elaine March will be cremated at Lankford Funeral Home and a private ceremony for close family and friends will take place at a later date.
