Dorothy Eloise Foster, aged 105, peacefully went home to our Lord the morning of September 7th, 2022.

Born on 7/6/1917 in Herrin, IL, the middle child of 5. In 1936 she married her childhood sweetheart, Kenneth Foster. They were married for 59 years. Together they visited all 50 states by car, plane, train and cruise ship.

Dorothy was an accomplished seamstress and loved volunteering at church and singing in the choir. She was a Toastmistress and a Welcome Wagon Hostess. She organized lots of activities in the communities she lived in. In her later years, Dorothy became an avid reader finishing 3-4 books a week.

She is survived by her daughters Janet Heller, Judy Walts (Ron) and Jackie Miller (Steve) and nephew, Dr. David Heller who be the officiant. She has 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 6 great, great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm, Lankford Funeral Home, 220 E New York Ave, DeLand FL 32724.
