Doris Rivera
08/24/2021
Doris Rivera was a wonderful woman that was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished. Our “Grandma or Nana,” as she liked to be called by her grandchildren and “Honey,” as she was called by her husband, was an amazing wife, mom, grandmother, and daughter.
She met the love of her life, William M. Rivera at the age of 18. Doris and Willie had a whirlwind romance and were married in the Bronx on November 22, 1980.
Doris’ grand children were her heart and joy. There’s no denying that, her grandbabies as she called them, were the people that she loved the most. Time spent at Nana’s/Grandma’s house was very special for her grandbabies, and visits were often encouraged.
Loved ones that cleared the path for Doris are her father Louis Rodriguez, and her brother Hector Rodriguez. Loved ones that will miss Doris until they meet again are her husband William Rivera; her mother Noelia Rodriguez; her sister Maribel Rodriguez; her son William Rivera Jr.; her daughter Desiree Melendez; her daughter and son in-law Diana Graziano and Evan Melendez; and her grandchildren Adriana Rivera, Briana Melendez, and Connor Melendez. Her fur baby Eli.
And so the story goes on until we see our Grandma/Nana and our Honey again. We love you and miss you Mom.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Jude’s or to the charity of your choice in Doris’ name.
A mass will be held at St. Clare Catholic Church, 2961 Day Road, Deltona, Fl 32738 on Saturday September 18, 2021 at 11am.
