Dale Kennedy Jewell Sr. 76, of Elk Grove Village, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on January 22nd, 2023, while vacationing in DeLand, Florida. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Sandra (Wolff) Jewell, daughter Jacqueline, son Dale, daughter in-law Jessica, and four grandchildren, Derek Jewell, Maxwell Draper, Nicklaus and Kayla Jewell. Dale was born on September 20, 1946, to Joseph and Myrtle (Kennedy) Jewell in Des Plaines, Illinois. Dale attended Higgins School, Arlington HS, and graduated Forest View High School. He was the youngest of five kids. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers: Joseph, Kenneth, Leo, and survived by sister Beverly Tomasello.

Dale owned Dale's Auto Repair in Inverness Illinois where he worked for 30 years. After retiring from the auto-shop Dale took up photography. Just like his favorite NFL player Tom Brady, Dale strove to be the best at everything and his hobby quickly turned into his own business Photos by Dale. In his free time, he enjoyed bike rides, coffee shops, anything chocolate, and spending time with grandchildren. Dale and Sandy traveled the world, exploring Peru, Egypt, China, Japan, Mexico, Europe, all 50 states, Bora Bora, and others. Palm Springs California was a favorite destination during the winter months. Dale was a devoted father, loving husband, and ever-lasting role model. Dale's charisma shined wherever he went. He will be remembered for his kindness towards others, commitment to family, and loving heart. Although taken too soon, Dale lived a full life surrounded by those he loved. Please join us as we celebrate the special life of Dale Kennedy Jewell Sr. Memorial visitation will be held Saturday, February 11, 1PM to 4PM at Grove Memorial Chapel.
