Col. Robert Wiltuck (Ret.), formerly of Wall, Pennsylvania peacefully passed away at his home on January 22, 2022, he was 83. He started his career in the military in 1956 for a total of 33 years. He enlisted at the age of 18 and completed his basic training at Lackland AF Base. His next assignment was radio traffic analyst tech school at March AF Base after which, he was stationed at Misawa, Japan where he was able to apply his trade in a covert operation against the Soviet Union. While there, he was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant and had the ability to have a message on the desk of the President of the United States within fifteen seconds. In 1962, he applied for and attended Office Candidate School for the Air Force and was part of the last graduating class of 1963 at USAF OCS. After graduating, he attended pilot training at Moody AF Base, where his first assignment was to Strategic Air Command flying the KC-13S tanker. In 1967, he secured an assignment to Vietnam where he was assigned to Tactical Air Command in the FlOO. Upon arrival in South Vietnam, he was introduced to the 02A and was sent to DaNang as a qualified Forward Air Controller. As a FAC, he was assigned as the ground Air Liaison Officer to the Marines in Khe Sanh. His next assignment was at Patrick AF Base flying the EC-135 in support of the Apollo Space Mission(including Apollo XI). In 1970, he resigned his Regular Commission and joined the Reserves flying the C124, the EC121 & the F4D at Homestead AF Base. He was given command of an Aerial Port Squadron in Homestead and remained in that position until he was promoted to Full Colonel and retired in February of 1988. In his civilian career, he worked for the IRS as a corporate auditor then transferred to the FAA as an Air Carrier Inspector/Assistant Office Manager in the Miami Flight Standards District Office. In 1997, he fully retired as a GS15 and moved to Deland, FL with his family where he became a member of the West Volusia Retired Officers Club and served four terms as President. He is also a lifetime member of MOAA. Colonel Wiltuckis survived by his wife of 47 years, Karen, his daughter Stacey Brewer and son in law Mike Brewer of Ft. Wayne, IN; daughter Deanna Scheinhoft of Orlando, FL; son Robert C. Wiltuck of Phoenix, AZ; sister Jean Hood of Monroeville, PA, grandson Michael Brewer, granddaughter Courtney Brewer ES ARNG and grandsonDaniel Scheinhoft.

The family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday January 29, 2022, at 1:00 PM in the Lankford Funeral Home Chapel in DeLand.
