Autumn Laurel Sunnock passed away on April 24th, 2024. She departed suddenly without warning at her home in Deland, Florida, while courageously fighting a battle with breast cancer.

Born in the fall on October 1, 1979 in downtown Kalamazoo, Michigan, she loved her hometown. She cheered for the Detroit Red Wings and the Detroit Lions. She was the beloved daughter and only child of Michal Sunnock and Karen (Bosma) Dunn.

As a child, they never had trouble finding a sitter, as everyone was always begging to spend time with her. As she grew up, she joined the school band at Parchment Elementary and played the clarinet. She went on to attend Parchment High School, playing on the softball team and sporting the maroon and gold on first base. Her unforgettable moment on the field was a straight line drive down the first base line. Being as small as she was, she stretched her body and her glove all the way out like she was a pro and snatched the ball at the last second! Her mother jumped up and screamed as loud as she could, that's my daughter! Go Panthers! She went on to graduate in 1998.

Autumn never passed up an opportunity to celebrate with friends, old and new ones! She was passionate about her and Greg's ever growing vegetable garden, the color purple, all things metaphysical, the beach for sunrises and sunsets, celebrating every holiday to its fullest, cruising vacations, and she longed for fall and Halloween all year long. She loved scary movies, haunted houses, and dressing up in new Halloween costumes every spooky season.

Autumn would go anywhere and do anything with “her man” the love of her life, Greg Peck Jr. They met in July 2005 and began what became a 19-year union. It was always just the two of them against the world. Many were surprised when they both just quit their jobs, said enough of these cold Michigan winters, we're out of here! They stored most of their belongings, then loaded what they could fit into their RV and hit the open road together, eventually leading them to their own little bit of Heaven on earth in Florida.

After months of traveling the country, they finally made it to Wekiva Falls RV Resort in Sorrento, Florida, a beautiful campground with natural springs in the lagoon, right on the river, with a tiki bar, and set back in the Lake County woods. There they met many friends, sang too many karaoke songs, danced nights away, and made even more memories with friends that turned into family, their Wekiva family.

They were times filled with floating in the springs, riding around on golf carts, exploring nature, looking for gators, attending many themed parties and dances, and even meeting her bestie, Chrissy Day.

After years of living at Wekiva, Autumn, Greg, and Angel moved into their dream house in beautiful Deland, Florida. They spent most of their time in the yard, adding a pool, a hot tub and an ever-growing vegetable and fruit tree garden.

During her battle, when Autumn was feeling good, she would shine bright with her long, beautiful, blonde hair and her infectious smile! She loved going on adventures and trying new things. She loved to dance, sing, and try new food and recipes. Her laughter was contagious and could make the whole room light up and smile.

By day, Autumn worked from home for TelAffects based out of Lake Mary, Florida, where she had many colleagues and friends, and loved the work she did for four years, while becoming a valuable member of the TelAffects family.

We will forever remember her amazing laugh and bright smile, her kind heart, and her strong and determined spirit. Autumn’s mom, Karen, said that it helps knowing that her daughter was truly living the life of her dreams.

Autumn is survived by her husband, Gregory Peck Jr, and their beloved fur baby, Angel; her mother and stepfather, Karen (Bosma) Dunn and Kent Dunn; her father and stepmother, Michal Sunnock and Barbara (Verschueren) Sunnock; her bestie, Chrissy Day and husband, Charlie Day and her niece, Mackenzie Day; along with her many friends, colleagues, and family.

Preceded in death by her grandparents, Don and Laurel Sunnock; her grandparents, Ebeling and Grace Bosma; her aunt, Joan Bero; her cousin, Eric Blogett; and her uncle, Jim Stoop.

In honoring Autumn’s memory, the family asks that you remember, know, and embrace fully, her undying love for YOU!
