Amancia Lopez, 66, passed away on May 4th, 2022, while enduring a long battle of multiple health conditions. Her funeral service will be held this Monday (May 9th, 2022) and Tuesday (May 10th, 2022), at Lankford Funeral Home and Crematory, Deland, FL.

Amancia was born on March 3, 1956, in San Pedro de Macoris, RD. She later married Carlos Lopez on December 24, 1976, and birthed four children. In 1993, she obtained an Associate’s degree in Applied Science, from Monroe Community College, in Rochester, NY. After moving her family to Lebanon, PA, she proceeded to work for the state of Pennsylvania’s Department of Labor Unemployment Office; where she was able to retire after working 20+ years for them. In between all this, while continuously earning different degrees in biblical studies, on September 24, 2016, Amancia ultimately gained a PhD degree in Biblical and Theological Studies under Christian Union Theological Seminary.

Amancia was passionately involved in God’s work as a Theological Institute professor. She was very active in the church and devoted a lot of her time using her many gifts and talents. She started as a student in Rochester, NY and continued to pursue her dreams to teach the word of God in Lebanon, PA. Highly admired by her students, they eventually became teachers themselves. Amancia always put God first and was dedicated to her creative styles of teachings. In her spare time, she enjoyed talking about the Bible, reading spiritual books, studying the Word and spending quality time with her family. She enjoyed traveling, as well. Amancia especially loved to laugh and make others laugh.

Her family paid this tribute to her, “Amancia was known as a fearless, strong and brave warrior. She was always there when you needed her. Her pride and joy were her children and grandkids. There has been a void left due to her absence”.

Amancia survived by her husband, Carlos, her 4 children: Carlos Jr., Merari Ester, Amanda and Misael; and 9 beautiful grandchildren.

United we stand in remembrance of an amazing woman that was taken too soon. She will forever be loved and admired. Amancia definitely left her mark here on Earth. May she Rest in Peace. We love you.
