Alexander Randall Doolhoff

August 16, 2008 — March 23, 2025

Alexander Randall Doolhoff, 16, was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on August 16, 2008. He was adopted into a loving family in 2012 and moved to Florida in 2016, where he continued to fill the world around him with joy, curiosity, and kindness. Alexander bravely lived with epilepsy from the age of three, and despite his strength and resilience, he tragically passed away due to complications from the condition.

Alexander is survived by his loving family, including his parents, siblings, and numerous extended family members, both biological and adopted, who all deeply loved and cared for him. His family, both near and far, will forever cherish the memories they shared with him.

From the moment you met Alexander, his bright spirit was undeniable. He had an infectious love for the world, always eager to learn, discover, and share knowledge with those he loved. He had a passion for building, bringing his imagination to life through LEGOs and video games, especially Minecraft. His love for Star Wars ran deep—he watched every show, analyzed every storyline, and shared his excitement with anyone who would listen. He could lose himself in books for hours, his mind constantly exploring new ideas and adventures.

Alexander also had a fascination with paleontology. As a child, he would say he wanted to be a paleontologist. He loved visiting the dinosaur park in Utah, where he would stand at the window, watching paleontologists at work. He had a special way of extracting fake fossils from toys, carefully following the method he saw professionals use, spending hours working with patience and precision.

More than anything, Alexander filled the lives of those around him with laughter. His silliness was contagious, his humor effortless, and his ability to bring joy to others was a gift we will cherish forever. Despite all he knew, he never lost his curiosity—always questioning, always seeking, always eager to understand more. But what made Alexander truly special was his heart. He had a remarkable way of making people feel seen, loved, and valued. His kindness was boundless, his love genuine, and his presence a light in the lives of so many.

Alexander will always be loved, remembered, and honored. His heart was beautiful, and we will strive to keep his spirit alive by loving with compassion, looking beyond what we see, and embracing each day with the same kindness, creativity, and joy he so effortlessly shared.
