Karen LaMarr Craft, 60, of Lake Helen went to be with the Lord on April 28, 2017. She was born in Mansfield, Ohio on May 22, 1956 and grew up in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She is survived by her husband Kelly Craft with 22 years of marriage, and sister Carmen (Jami) Ryle, half-sisters Robin and Kim of Ohio. Karen also leaves behind many family members and a close circle of friends, who she cherished. She was predeceased by her parents Aletta LaMarr Carlson and Jonathan J. Graham, brother David Carlson, and nephew Chad Ryle. Karen was the first female drum major at Hollywood Hills High School. She led a successful career in management with Winn-Dixie, realtor-property manager, and substitute teaching. Karen loved spending time with her many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She enjoyed sunrises & sunsets on the water, traveling, being artistic and creative, and taking family photos. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Karen's memory to American Cancer Society or charity of your choice.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 4, 2017 from 5:00-7:00pm at Lankford Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 11:00am at First United Methodist Church of DeLand with Revrend Owen Stricklin, officiating. Burial will be in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
