Michael G. Knott, 65, passed Monday, March 5, 2018 in DeLand, Florida. He was born in Ferndale, Michigan on June 17, 1952 to Gordon and Joy Knott. Michael married Linda in 1983. He was a member of Praise Chapel Church and was a Pastor of the church’s outreach ministry Dixie Lodge. In his early years Mike attended culinary school and was a great chef. He took great pride in his business and passed those passions down into the family. Joined by his two sons, Michael was the owner of DoBro’s restaurant. He was dedicated to his work with the church and his relationship with God. Mike also enjoyed playing the guitar and writing music. He sang mostly gospel and really used it to empower people and spread the word of Christ. He loved his family, cooking and giving to his community. If you saw him out and about he was definitely dressed in his tie and fedora.
