Harvey Struck, 78, went to be with our Lord on February 3, 2018 after a hospital stay in Orange City, Florida due to numerous health issues. A memorial service will be held on February 25 at noon at Dayspring Community Church, 902 S. Spring Garden Avenue, Deland, Florida.
Harvey was born on March 5, 1939 in Marshfield, WI and grew up in Milwaukee, WI. He worked as a truck driver, had his own home improvement business, and was a landlord. He met and married Mary in 1964, enjoying 53 years together. When they retired in 2004, they moved to Florida to escape Wisconsin winters. Harvey was artistically talented doing landscaping, tiling, and decorating of all kinds. He was drawn to water so Harvey and Mary spent time boating, fishing, and swimming. Harvey liked to entertain adults and children with his comical personality. He had a sensitive nature and was a loving husband, father, and friend.
In 2004, while attending a large church in Orlando, Harvey was blessed to see a vision of angels flying around the church. He knew a person must have Jesus in their heart in order to have eternal life with God, and we celebrate his homecoming to Heaven.
"He is survived by his wife, Mary, son, Jeffrey, brothers, sisters, and friends, and will be greatly missed by all."
In lieu of flowers donations can be made out to Dayspring Community Church of DeLand.
